Hi, I am Samantha. I like to design + create. I have always loved solving problems. Being good at science, I started out at Northeastern University in their Doctorate of Pharmacy program. Quickly I decided to follow my passion, receiving a B.S. in Media Arts + Design in 2001 from Northeastern University. I began my Design Career in 1999 in the Creative Services Department at John Hancock, was a Senior Graphic Designer at tpgcreative in 2001 and part of the Creative team at Holland-Mark in 2007. In 2008, I started freelancing and working with my own clients. In 2012 my career came full circle and I found myself back at John Hancock. I am excited to be back working with this talented team in the Brand Communications and Creative Services Department. My projects have included monthly, bimonthly and quarterly magazines, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, logos, brand identity, cycling jerseys and event branding. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide array of clients, including non-profit organizations and major corporations on various marketing and informational collateral. I have art directed and led the redesign of the monthly Club Business International in 2007 and the redesign for the bi-monthly Wire Rope Exchange in 2011. Since 2012 I have had the great opportunity to work on many projects for the Boston Marathon Brand, Best Buddies Challenge and Pan Mass Challenge. Over my 15 year career I have received many design awards. My diverse experience has provided me with the ability to learn a client’s business and specific needs quickly and thoroughly. Working under tight deadlines is something I embrace and understands. With my role at John Hancock and my freelance clients I am doing what I love, designing!
